Upcoming competitions will be: Capital City Classic - Baton Rouge, LA. August 29th. Nationals - Lafayette, Louisiana. October 11th. Texas Strongest Man - Cypress, Texas. November 11th. After that I will be letting my body rest until the first of the year to get ready for the Arnold Qualifier in March 2010. That is where I would most definately like to win my Pro Card. That would be THE BIGGEST stage yet for an amateur competition. Its gonna be done in conjunction with the Pro Division. Winner gets automatic entry into the 2011 Arnold Classic. So anyways.. thats what I got going on. Will get this log going tonight.

Thanks guys... I added some pics to my profile. From when I did my first competition around 265lbs and now. I am sitting about 325. Definately put on some size in a little over a year.

I am freakin stoked!
I worked OHP on Sunday.. so going into todays workout I just planned to do some heavy bench press (which I have not done in 6 months) and some Close grips.. also a little more chest/tri work and kinda take it easy on my shoulders today since I did Log yesterday. Got into the nice AC environment.. saw all the douchebags talking on the treadmills and curling in the squat rack and it immediately dawned on me... why I completely HATE 24 hour fitness lol. So after I warmed up I made my way over to the bench press. Now its probably been 6 months since I have gone over 315.. I usually do it at the end of my workout and just dont have much left for it. So I do reps with 315. Flat Bench Barbell: 135 x 10 225 x 10 315 x 10 365 x 5 405 x 3 455 x 2 - Felt like I had 495 in my honestly, but decided to stop for TODAY. Rested about 5 min and moved my grip in. Close Grip Benchpress 315 x 5 365 x 4 405 x 3 Explosive Cleans (not rotating wrists) 135 x 10 225 x 5 275 x 3 Tricep Pushdowns: 80 x 10 100 x 10 120 x 8 140 x 6 Now as much as I would like to keep progressing on my bench and see if I could eclipse my old max (545).. Its just not super necessary in Strongman and I will be back on my OHP's next Monday. Unless I do Heavy Log this saturday again. We shall see. Would be nice to make another run at a 600lb bench!

Damn bro, nice bench. No need risking hurting yourself if you don't need it, plus why do 495, make use of those little 2 1/2 lbers and make it an every 500, lol

I usually just think in terms of "plates" so adding another plate would obviously make 495. Not risking injury is definately the goal.. would feel like a moron hurting myself on an excersise that really does not mean anything lol.

80 foot runs with the yoke.
270 x 80 450 x 80 630 x 80 730 x 80 - no drops but it was SLOW.. gotta get better at this. Farmers Carry x 80 180 x 80 230 x 80 270 x 80 Tire Flip 800 x 5... I was gassed! Body may be a little fatigued from going heavy last night..

Yes it started off just being a 5 event competition and really was not looking all that great.. but now that dione is coming they are gonna make 4 out of the 6 events record attempts!
Hopefully I will be attempting the axle record

So that day off turned into 4... my body is so freakin sore and stiff. Not sure what the hell is wrong with me. Took the weekend off to relax. Hitting OHP today.

OHP Today
135 x 10 225 x 5 275 x 2 - Felt terribly difficult 315 x 1 - Body started to feel warmed up 345 x 1 - easier than my 315 365 x 1 - new PR.. was very happy. Flat Bench - always use fairly narrow grip 225 x 5 315 x 5 405 x 5 475 x 2 - not a PR but I am gettin back to my old max. Tricep Pushdowns Incline Bench Lateral Dumbell Raises Glad I went today.. almost didnt.

I have trouble with breakfast... I am not a hard gainer.. although lately I am having troubles with my weight. I am sitting at about 318 - 320 and really need to be like 328 - 332.
Anyways.. I try to eat 6+ times a day, but lately its been like 3 - 4. My biggest meals are ALWAYS PWO and PPWO ... Typically post workout will be like.. 4 scoops of protein, natty pb, oats, water blended up. PPWO... buffet or something really heavy lol. Lots of calories is usually the goal for the rest of the day. I have a partial bicep tear that I am nursing right now. Gonna take a few days offI believe.
