Default tendonitis due to muscle imbalance

Ok I had a tracking issue in my knee and it was due to a muscle imbalance.I did PT and he showed me how to rebalance my quads. In my case it was my inner quad wasn't able to keep up with the outer.

So onto my elbow.I believe this tennis elbow crap is due to an imbalance between my bi's and tri's.

So besides lightweight curls for high reps. What are other bi excersises?
My goal is to rebalance stuff and get my tendons stronger .

IPL I would really value your input on this as i know you know your stuff lady

It could also be an imbalance in your BI-cep heads. So you have an imbalance in which direction? Your triceps are more developed? Which is usually a rare thing especially in women, usually our Bi's are way stronger and more developed then out tricep. But I'm taking on average here and not your typical athletic woman.
Have you had this checked, if so what exactly did they tell you? What are you currently doing for strength training in your arms? Now remember all the movements you are doing that consist of pulling are involving your Bis, and push your tris.

Stay Strong~~!!!

My tris are more developed than my bi's I think. I'll stop by my PT's tommorow and have him do a quick rundown for me LOL.

Tennis Elbow... I had it REAL bad.. for a while. Had to do the therapy excersises everyday for about 2 weeks to get rid of it, but it did go away.

Mine was caused from doing stone work and cleans.. the extensor muscles running from my elbow to my hands were killing me. So much that the pain would cause me to get nauseous after dropping a stone. If you you do the therapy excersises for Tennis Elbow it WILL help get rid of that.

Ice... after you workout and before you goto bed.

Its a bitch but its something you need to be proactive about otherwise it will get unbareable.

Got an MRI Scheduled .The doc thinks it may be a ruptured tendon! NO NO NO!

I honestly dont think it is.It hurts pretty bad but it is still useable. Not sure about usable as far as lifting goes.

IMO.. the BEST thing you could do at this point is not do any lifting until nationals. Do stretches, ICE ICE ICE and some light cardio a couple days a week between now and then.

Really there is no reason to do any more lifting... you probably are not gonna get THAT much stronger in the next 3 weeks.. you wont get any weaker as long as you eat right and keep up the cardio. In fact you will probably feel stronger and rest by the time Nats rolls around.

good luck to you.

I wouldnt even be picking up 45lb plates... pinch strength is gonna aggravate those extensor muscles which could aggravate that tennis elbow.

You could do Core/Stability/Cardio... come in, in better shape and more rested. Do body weight squats if you need to.

Lay off the weights!

Sugar, take a break~!! Until you know what's going on in there, why risk hurting it any worse, and prolonging things!! DON"T lift anything with that arm!!
Keep icing it, keep it elevated if you can. I wouldn't stretch it or anything at this point!!

I would grab one of those large rubber balls and boson ball (1/2 rubber ball) and focus on stretching, cardio and core development.

Also grab some of those rubber bands they use in PT, they work great for recovery

I also agree with Ironlady Lacy... for the next few days I wouldnt do anything. Then start stretching and doing the tennis elbow excersises.

#1, #2, #7 made a HUGE difference. DO THEM AND THEY WILL WORK!

I am doing uphill cardio.I will also continue to squat. My training partners help me with loading and unloading stuff .Pinch grip is how I first noticed the Tennis elbow.I would say yes i'd love to rest but if the insurance company want to they can try to make me do 6 more weeks of PT .Then if it doesnt heal i can get an Mri.
The doc is going to try to get it pressed through.I've already done my fairshare of PT for it.It helped it but apparantly it wasnt healed up completly.

If Im not mistaken your PT has the power to refer you for an MRI. all they have to do is after your evaluation, tell them, you're not a candidate for PT. Plan and simple!!
