10 grams of raw powder will make you 10ml, is that right???

The Basics

DF = displacement factor, this is the amount of oil a given powder will displace. for dry powders like prop, or cyp Df is .75. for wet powder like EQ, test enan, or deca, Df is .85

D = displacement. powder weight(P) x df = d

P = powder weight in Grams
V = volume in ml
C = concentration in mg/ml

P= V x C
V=P/C
C=P/V

so you want to make 60ml of test cyp at 250mg/ml
60(V) x 250(C) = 15000mg or 15g of powder(P)

so you have 13.6g of powder, and you want to make it at 200mg/ml
13600mg(P)/200mg/ml(C) = 68ml(V)

displacement comes in to play, when figuring how much BA, BB, and oil to use. ba and bb are calculated as a % of total finished volume. so if we use the first example above. 15g cyp powder, 60ml volume.
displacement is P x Df(.75) 15 x .75 = 11.25
BA = .02 x 60 = 1.2, bb = .2 x 60 =12
so oil = V -D - BA - BB or 60 - 11.25 - 1.2 - 12 = 35.55ml

scale accurate to 0.1g
beakers 100 and 250ml
glass stir rods
20um whatman filters
10 and 30ml syringes, i use tens for everything.
18 and 20g pinns,i draw oil with 20s, but filter through 18s
benzyl alchohol
benzyl benzoate
grapeseed oil
i know i'm forgetting something




General Procedures

put beaker on scale and tare
add powder and weigh.
add ba and bb
put in oven preheated to 250f(most cases) and heat until solution is completely clear, then heat 10 more min.
add oil
heat again in oven stiring occasionally until swirling is gone
filter into sterile vial using .20um whatman filter
done

good post...IMO I made a lot of gear..but given that its easier to buy from a good domestic...I wont make any more gear...

I went to Pharmacy school and you know what, I would rather buy it made any day from a trusted source.

from a trusted source is the key. Who knows what conditions gear is being mfg'd in nowadays. I prefer the self method because I know exactly how it is being processed, start to finish.

Still have to trust your powder source and make sure he is giving you the right thing.

Good replys here folks. I always enjoyed both aspects of it. Brewing and buying trusted sources gear. Its a win win.......

Remember even if you have raws, there's still a possibility that you were sent bs. Nothing like having a good reliable source. Best way IMO.

I'm like yall. Give me a good trusted source and I'm straight. but then I never have tried my hand at brewing. I'd be to scared to try to get powders. They don't like that these days. Plus I thing even if you want to do it for personal use if you get caught with raws,they gunna treat you like a source,or do their best to try at least.

Figure it this way. 10 Grams of powder is 10,000MG. So whatever dosage you make it at just know that you will yield 10,000 total MG from 10 grams of raw powder. For example: If you make a product at 250mg per ml then you will get 40ml of product from 10 grams of powder. If you make product at 100mg per ml you will get 100ml of product from 10 grams of powder.

At 200mg/ml you get 5ml per gram = 200mg x 5 = 1g

1g x 10 = 50ml @ 200mg/ml

no. 10 grams of powder is 10,000 mg. so say you have a vial of 250mg test and its a 10 ml bottle you have 2.5 grams or 2,500mg of actual powder in the gear.

Yes. 10 grams will yield 50ml of 200mg solution. The way you said it is a different way of saying the amount of grams to ml. I always just look at it like 1000mg is 1 gram. So a 10ml vial of 100mg solution is 1000mg or 1 gram, and then just do the multiplication for whatever mg dosage you want...ie 250mg x 10 =2500mg or 2.5 grams, thus 10 grams will yield 40ml.

it doesnt make a difference wether its from a so called trusted source or wether your powders the kind that goes in the washing machine, neither of the 2 are any more trusted than the other, its a lot cheaper to brew your own but imo ordering it already made is less hastle and safer as far as the laws and shipping go.
