Post FAKES MUST BE PUT TO DEATH!!

We have this guy at work. He's about 42 and he's very well cut & ripped. But he claims to workout, which I highly doubt. And here's why.......

He has no idea what "big" is.
He flexed his arm once and told me, "Check me out. 13 inches." I had to disappoint him and say, "Bro, that's like average size but it would be large if you was a teen." Then I flexed my "guns" and said, "When you get in the 20's like me, look me up and I'll hook you up." LOL

He claims to have once used gear but when I asked him which, he doesn't remember. Everybody knows that when you've used an illegal substance, you will always remember what you've used, no matter how long ago it's been.

He uses terms like "super sets" and claims to use creatine.
I said, "Bro, I stopped doing supersets back in the late 80's. Let's talk giant sets and pyramids." But of course, that went over his head. Then I asked him which type of creatine is he using and he claimed, "All of them". :knob:

Lastly, he have no knowledge of the names of the muscles nor the exercises that he claims to do.
Instead, he describes the exercises and points to the muscle that he worked.

He's claimed to have been training for 15-20 years. A few days ago, I confronted him and told him, "It's okay to be a newbie in the gym, dude. We all have to start somewhere." When he asked me why I thought that he was new, I replied, "I just made my 24th year in the sport of strength training. And in that nearly 2 and a half decades, I've never ever bragged about what I can lift, press, curl, or push. Nor have I ever challenged another person to workout with me or to "out lift" me in a gym. It's childish and no matter how great you think you are at it, THERE'S ALWAYS SOMEBODY BETTER!!"

The funniest times, I must say, is when he tries to flex his "Mighty 13's" as if to challenge me to a pose down. Then I either do a double bicep pose or simply flex my pecs, shoulders and tris, and all of our coworkers tell him to give it up and stop trying. LOL He's often complaining that, despite using creatine and protein, he's not growing. But he works alot of overtime, hardly gets much sleep, eats really shitty (as in, a large pizza for lunch or stack of bbq hamburgers), and worst of all, he smokes.

kind of my thoughts.

We have a couple of guys here who read a lot but in actual application fail miserably.

Funny...when you mentioned that since we're using illegal stuff you could remember your first supps....I was "experimenting" back before they were termed illegal and still remember that first cycle...exactly!

My forearms are 13 inches! The training theory goes along with something I told one of the teens that works with me. I dont go out to a party or social setting thinking I am the strongest .I dont brag about how much I can lift or whose ass I can kick. People that can dont need to verbally confirm these things with other people.You dont see blackbelts out at a bar picking fights do ya?

I knew a guy / idiot , who never trained nor was even a bodybuilder. He sadly, had this idea, that he were indeed an actual competitive BB'r. He was just an idiot. He bought all this protein but never trained. Gained like 30lbs on creatine without training. He was a strange person. Also, seemed to think he was Mr mafia of the year. He was around 37 years old and lived with his mother.

A whole 13" huh? WOW...for shits and giggles I just measured my forearms, which are 16". I'll drop by your office and put the handle to my guns, next to his slingshot of a bicep.

And your right about him being full of shit about I cant remember what I used, its basic human nature that when you do something out of the norm, or lets say dangerous or illegal that its etched in your brain as a reminder to re live that thrill of going above and beyond what others wouldnt dare to do.

Hell, I remember where I was, what the day was like, who was with me, and what was on the radio the first time the needle was full of golden goodness, and that was 16yrs ago.

Ive known ppl like that, still do. My favorite is when you actually see them at the gym and they load like 225 on a bench and do a quater rep maybe two and then walk around like everyone is amazed by them.
