How many times a week?
Do you do the same exercises each time?
What is your goal (sports performance enhancement or BBing)?
How long have you been training?

IMHO I think they are great if you only have 1-2x a week to train.
They are also good to use in different parts of your macrocycle (training year).

I think your on the correct track bud.
Just keep the training as functional as you can, major size increases will hinder your performance, whereas strength, power, and function will enhance it.

That is a lot of excercises for a full body routine. Overkill if you ask me. Expecially if you are doing this 5 days a week. It's over training. First off if your going to do full body then just pick 2 excercises per body part and get at least 1 days rest inbetween workout. And don't do the same excercises back to back on a work out. With the way your training you should consider a 3 or 4 day split.

No body part should ever be done back to back excluding abs and calves. Like I said, if you like doing full body go 3 days a week with at least a days rest inbetween. But since you seem to hit it pretty hard you could do a 3 days split. So something like this
Monday Chest and Shoulders
Tuesday Legs
Wednesday Back and arms
Thursday Chest and Shoulders again.
Friday Legs

following Monday Back and Arms and keep going.
Now don't do the exact same excercises. Say for example on chest and shoulders you might do flat bench and flys then the next time incline and decline. You should be done in less then an hour and you can hit each part hard. Do this for about 8 weeks and then you can change the routine. This routine is a push push pull pull. Next time you and change it to a push pull for variation. Also don't always go heavy if that is what you like to do. Mix in some higer rep lighter days. I usually recommend those ont the last 2 days of the week since your probably fried from the first 3 but just listen to your body.

Thanks Dr. X I am deff gonna try this for awhile. The best thing for my body is variation. the only thing is you say two workouts per muscle. Should I jump back and forth between sets? This actually seems like it will be way better for me. My workouts are alittle overkill now. This will save me some time too. Rght now I spend at the least 2.5 hours to 4 in the gym a night. I swim then workout then cardio then swim again hot tub to end the night

Just keep it simple.
2.5-4 hrs is crazy. One hour is more then enough.
